Chapter2: The Three Friends

By the time I got a room in Hostel-F 208, it was evening 4 and the warden just showed my roommate.

He was standing just next to the warden’s room with his parents. The face looking very innocent and of my height, very thin, dark complexion and he seemed very young. I went near him “Hi, I am arun your roommate, so what course are you doing here”. “Hi I am Vikas, MBA,(small Pause) shall we look at the room”

Our room was in the first floor, very adjacent to the TV room and the first in the corridor. Just as Vikas’s father opened the room, we found empty packs of Gold Flake Cigarette boxes which slightly gave me a weird delight in my mind. I told Vicky that I had to go home now and will return tomorrow with my luggage and bed and bid farewell to them.

***

The next day I came in a jeep of my dad’s colleague. I put my bed, cycle and the necessities.

We reached there at 10.45 which, is again late by 45 mins. The first class was of finance taught by Jessica ma’am. We quickly transferred the luggage to the room and I looked at Dheeraj in a question mark way whether shall we attend the 2 hr class or not. He just started walking towards the school and I quickly followed him.

I found a place in the back benches where I was sitting alone and was searching for my roommate to make a sign that I have come and as well simultaneously searching for Anil too. They were sitting right to me in the row in front of me. It was a class which was totally different compared to the engg classes. Ma’am was teaching about the importance of accounts in a company for which the B.COM students Rakesh, Kundan, Taruna and etc were eagerly listening and answering to madam’s questions. I took out my note pad and started noting the points.

After the class I went to Vikas to have a casual talk with him “hey hi…how was your day. So, where are you from?”.”hey hi, am fine, I am from Karnataka, but I know telugu well”.

The very next question I asked him was “do you smoke” for which he told “occasionally”.

The next moment I hugged him and told “we will have great time here”...

MBA Blues: Chapter1

“Sorry, I don’t love you, let us be friends and stop flirting”. These were the last words she told when I met her the last time near her office. I said “please give me one more chance, I miss you very much”...

It was around 8 in the morning when I woke up the next day of mid-July(2008). It was the first day of my MBA classes. Oops… forgot to tell you about me. I am Arun, finished my engineering 2 months back and joined MBA at the University of Hyderabad. At present I am at home. Have to hurry up and reach the university by 10. I got ready and started my scooter “MOM BYBYEE!!!” and then off to the petrol pump “bhaiyya ek 100 ka petrol with oil daaldoo” and then to Dheeraj’s place. 10.30 We reached the campus, by then the orientation started.”Always late you ASSSOLE” scolded myself and got it into the conference room.

Everybody was listening curiously to the lecture given by the dean of the school “this is a place where you are going to spend your glorious 2 years and a place where you realize to identify yourself in the corporate world”. And then a great applause from the audience, I mean my classmates and seniors. I generally prefer sitting in the last benches since 8th grade, Dheeraj went to the middle rows, so I got adjusted beside a guy studiously trying to listen the speech sitting at the right end corner. His back was actually jumping to have a glance at the speaker and his action was quite funny for me. ”The 1st semester classes will start from tomorrow and end in the November midweek, we provide you with excellent course structure and the best faculty here…” Jessica madam was continuing with her speech in a perfect manner and exact pronunciation of the words and her voice was like the announcements given at the railway stations. “HI! I am Arun, any information about how long this session is?”. “Hi! I am Anil, it started just now”. We shook hands and then I saw a spark in his eyes which meant chalo! Let’s get out of this hall. We need some fresh air. “How about a cup of tea, there is a small canteen beside the school” was my next sentence.

We both walked out of the hall one at a time and then again I asked him “shall we go out of the campus so that I can buy a smoke too…”, Anil looked at me and gave a different kind of smile which I have never seen in my life “mama we are lucky, no need to go out now, let’s go to my hostel, I have a pack of kings there”. Thank god was the very next expression in my face, as I thought after looking at the faces in the hall I never felt that hardly anyone smokes. Then we both left to his room.

Exam Blues

It was around 1:30 pm when i entered the examination hall along with my 3 best freinds.climbing the four floors of the D-block was very tiresome , that too after a heavy lunch. Its the 4th exam of my 4th year 1st semester.I havent studied a lot , just looked at the textbook for a half an hour in the college, that too an hour back..despite of giving 3 preparation holidays for this exam , the 1st day i spent roaming in my area, doing some house repairing and stuff, the 2nd day passed on by meeting some friends and with a late night movie, keeping in mind that i would start studying tomorow.and then the 3rd day ,parents out of the station so inkenti pandaga, therefore didnt study and slept early watching TV with a strong feelingthat I will start studying after the clock strikes 12midnight,instead I woke up late around 8:30 and by 9 :30 I have to be at secreteriat fror my friend who picks me up ;)
ABHI : emana sadivinava
ME : (with a small laugh) what are u talking.
ABHI :kathal cheppak mama
ME :antheraa nijam chepte evaru nammaru , how much you studied
ABHI :i studied 2 units
ME : ammaa nee ..arey koncham chepparaa
ABHI :eh easy raa , just look at the diagrams and explain about them..J.N.T.U.exam correct chese vallaki antha scene ledu They wont read the answers, they see the diagrams and if not handwriting
ME :chaala telusu raa neeku, great re u are
ABHI :chaa kathal saalee

And thus we reached coll around 10:40, keeping in mind that I would atleast start studying now ,which I didnt do because of the coll final days Gossips between Adi,abhi, puppy and me.
my watch showed 1:50 now.Ikept on staring at the big dome shaped structure. Some say that its a new WIPRO campus and others say "adii infosys raa, wipro ki antha scene ledu". slowly one by one started yawning ,its like a disease, if one sees other yawning, then in no time he starts yawning and so on .Finally I sat in the last corner alloted seat and was filling in details in the answer sheet ,and at last, question paper came..I took a small glance at the question paper looking for the keywords which I saw in the text book , this glance took 15 mins ,then I started with the 1st question for which I have fed SOME data in my brain and started SODHI on it with one diagram. I remember one of my lecturers always shouting in the class"exam lo enta raasavaa choodaru , bomma geeste padi markulu "
Here is one answer which I have written in this exam (learn from me)

Q:Briefly discuss the historical development of the assembly process.(16 marks)

(assembly process here means assembling some parts to make some part, this is what i thought)ans:The assembly process has made a rapid progress in the present when compared from the past. This is due to advancement in the technology .It has been developing since the past to the present. In the history, to assemble a machine or a product used to take a lot of time and needed more labour work whereas in the present , the time consumed to assembe a product or a machine is very less comapritively to the past, for example:in an automobile industry,to assembe various parts like tyres, chassis, seats, windows, axle, body, steering, engine, tank, reservoir, electrical equipments, braking systems, etc., (took ten minutes for remembering the different parts in a CAR) in the past it used to take more manual labour and time, time taken to assemble one car was almost like one car per day whereas the same car in the present, the time taken to assembly the CAR is rapidly decreased. Its almost like you can assemble a car and run it on roads in half an hour .Also the manual work has been decreased too and the machine work has increased.this is due to the advancement in the technology compared with the past.In alternate ways we can explain that past assembly process is like a test cricket and the present assembly process is like a twenty-twenty match.(now where did this cricket come from and why am i writing here)In the past there was no technology, but only human work in the assembly process whereas in the present due to the advancement in the technology and science the humanwork has decreased and many sophisticated machines have been made to make the assembly process very easy and make the product with greater accuracy and high efficieny (GOD Knowswhy i wrote this)(and then i looked at the answer paper , i have finished 2 and a half papers for this SODHIand no more stuff is coming into my brain, spent 20 mins on the answer , so decided to write conclusion)

Hence the development of assembly process has been increased from the past to the presentand has been increasing, for example in the past to assemble a car in an automobile industryit almost took a day , where as now it takes around 10 mins., may be in the future it maytake only 1 min to assemble a car. This is due to the advancement in the technology and sciencewhich has been advancing in a rapid rate. Therefore the historical developmet of the assembly process has been discussed briefly.
And at last after writing 5 and a half sollu answers , one with the help of BALA (thanx annai,
the one which I copied was the only correct and Genuine answer I wrote in the exam)I came out 20 mins before the exam time finishes...

PS:please pray to GOD that I shall pass in this exam [:P]

A DAY TO REMEMBER

"Earth takes a year to orbit around the Sun . This means Arun have just entered his 21st orbit on July 1st 2007 "
Mr.President APJ Abdul Kalam started his speech .[:P] He continued by saying that 21 years is nothing in astronomical years where everything is counted in billions , "but in 21 years Arun has contributed a lot for his country which is a great achievement. My pal Arun ,a great Scientist, born in a small village called NAGNOORU in Jagityal , Karimnagar shifted to Hyderabad when he was 6 months old ..."
lying on the bed I was dreaming with my eyes wide open staring at the rotating fan ...
tring tring..tring tring ..(my phone ringing)
me : helloo...
aditya :HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARUN..
me: thank you adi ...
The time was 12:05 AM , july 1st 2007 , Sunday . I turned 21 , 5 minutes ago . got up from the bed , walked to the mirror
looked at my face in the dim light and wished myself "Happy Birthday ra" ..and returned to sleep ..
I woke up at 6:00 AM , had bath , took blessings from my parents and went to temple etc..
It was 4:00 PM . The whole day I spent watching T.V. , studying etc ..It was time for a small nap . slowly I was falling asleep .
thud!! aaaaaa.... abhaaaa.......... 3 guys started kicking me hardly on my back , i turned around and saw them ,
me: orey saale , kutte ####..
teja , chala and hemanth (in chorus ) : Happy birthday to youuuu........( so on )
me:thamk you mamaassss..
teja: come get up and fresh up , we have a surprise
and they locked me in bedroom for 10 mins and as they opened the door I saw chocolate flavoured cake lit wit 21 candles (approx) , on the teapoy with a knife beside it..
After the cake cutting we 4 went for a ride along NR . Spent the whole evening victory fully , eating , site seeing , and the moon appeared twice as big as ever ( called as blue moon )..
on our way back to home Teja asked me how my day was ..
I said " yaar ! mere bachpan yaad aagaya .. i have cut a cake after a long gap of 15 years .thank you "

PS:This POST is dedicated to TEJA - MY BEST FRIEND
THANK YOU ra

Apun MGIT

The morning breeze was fading as I entered the college on 25th June 07 at 9:00A.M.The sunrays were falling on me through the A-Block buliding .I got down the steps and was heading to canteen and to the B-Block. Every step further was digging the past 3 years of Joyful life in the college . The favorite hangouts , MCT adda, adventurous trips to Gandipet and the lake in front of the college ,OP babai's dabba etc., Since the beginning of my 1st year I have made many friends and some close frineds + Crushes , formed LBP , Punchers ...etc
The 1st year year was spent escaping from seniors and the second year was spent catching juniors .
Crossed the barriers of internals and climbed the walls of semesters (alas, i fell down and broke my leg while climbing the 5 th wall.. :D ) ..Five close friends changed my attitude and style of thinking . I realised that every engineer has a super power of 'IMAGINATION'(be it good or bad).....

JULIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.... ( a loud shout )
I came into reality when one of my classmate called me . I turned around ..
me
: namste maaamaaaa.....
Vijay
: kaka Good morning (with a hug.. MGIT's Tradition).. what so early to college today ..how were ur holidays..
me
: edo mama ..chaala boring da undinayi...what abt urs...blah blah blah ....

The stress Strain curve of engineering

It was the 2nd period ie AKD(advanced kinematics and dynamics)
Still i was day dreaming abt the past 3 years
Sir just drew the Stress Strain diagram on the board .

I dreamily looked at it..
the X-axis changed into the 4 years of engineering
and then this came into my view [:P]

A- Limit of proportionality (Seniors..Ragging)

B-Elastic limit (Antiragging)

C-Yield point (Realisation period)

D-Maximum Stress point (GRE , PPT's ,CAT , Placements etc)
E-Fracture point (end of enfineering ..Farewell)

Pavan : juli what re bhai ..day dreaming aa ???
me:
( back to reality )aaa.look at that diagram raa tomorrow i am going to write a Blog on it ..hehe..
"OY..U last bench , get up ..why are u talking ..come and sit front here"....."hmm sorry sir ..coming " and then I got my 1st punishment of 4-1 ...[:D]

LAKE MAGIC

Yesterday evening
trin trin...trin trin ... trin trin ...(my phone ringing)
me: hello..
teja: em raa! em chestunnav bey ...
me:namastee teja bhai ..nothing mama, just time pass..
teja:are u free to come out now..i am getting bored .we shall go out
me:yeah man ! where shall we GO?
teja: same regular place The magic lake ..
me:nice man i would like to ..wait i ll pick u in 10mins ..
teja:then come soon and byee...
me:OK byeee..
then i got ready in 5 mins , took out the scooter and set my way to his house . Picked him Up ,
and a Victory , then lead to the heaven of Bowenpally ...

In every locality there will be a place to hang-out. It could be either a Cafe , Restaurant ,Bakery, temple side , lake ..etc.,
Similarly there is a Lake in our locality where I would like to hang out in the evening . Its my favorite Place .. called the
Hasmathpet lake is a peaceful place surrounded with many famous locations . Its cool atmosphere , the
chirps of the Sparrows , the swimming black ducks , hungry eagles , long waititng fishermen etc are the best things
to observe there and are commonly found here and rarely found everywhere.. :P .
This lake has a muddy road , where every young gun would like to skid his bike/cycle to impress the passing gals
having a walk in the evening . On the opposite side of the lake towards the east there is a Surya Temple(the SUN GOD's) which is reflected in the lake.(It's a beautiful thing to observe)this temple is a look alike of the Gurudwar in Punjab (i Guess..shown in RDB before the title song) .just right to the temple is a black hill through which the sun rises in the morning (Again a beautiful scene) and left to it is a 9*9 apartments with 9 floors , 9 Flats , 9 lifts etc ., and many a small wonders ..
We stayed for a while (half an hour ) . Discussed on various topics from Girlfriends to National politics etc.,then it started raining .. being a muddy road , my bike was skidding which we enjoyed it ..On the road , passing through the 'TWIN TOWERS'( hehe 2 coconut trees on either sides of the road , then to the nearby Cafe for a Garam Chai Samosa and then back to home ..
My Dad once asked me "why do u often go to that lake?" , then I said "DAD !!Such small trips nearby makes me feel happy and refreshed and makes mind free from stress and strain ...blah blah blah..." .and so on .....

Above \below average doesnt matter

Holidays have become the most boring part of my life after 3-2.. Life is going through the new dimensions of failures..Last night i have finished reading a book titled 'ABOVE AVERAGE' which somewhat is closer to my real life. though it focuses on the success of Boy ..since then i believed that after every failure theres a Success waiting at your Door .

SCENARIO oF LAST Week

MY 3-2 results were 'BELOW AVERAGE'
screwed up a placement worstly
then the last few days i have been feeling lonely.
Then i realised that Loneliness is what u create when u are sad and dream about empty future.
so i kept meeting my friends , talking to them in phone etc., made me forget the bitter taste of Loneliness. the best part was our tour to Neckalce Road after an EK DUM CHICKEN biryani at
Paradise hotel ( A treat by Teja) , then we set to NR in our HARLEY's(hehe teja's Splendor and chala's scooter) on the road and discovered the passion of Roadies . My 3230 and teja's Digicam were the sources to capture the moments . then Had an ice cream ,shared Victory ..and returned back home before the Rain God tried to drown us.. on the whole it was a fantastic exploration in the city center..
Then i learnt that friends and environment plays an important role when u feel LONELY .
It's left to you which one u choose . I chose friends and environment than to feel sad and lonely by digging ur Failures ...
